The 3rd Duke of Richmond was match-racing his horses with the King and their friends at Goodwood more than 200 years ago and the heritage of excellent sport and glamorous entertainment lives on. At the five-day July Festival, affectionately known as Glorious Goodwood, all the elements of a great event collide; it's the glamour of top class racing mixed with the outstanding beauty of the racecourse, set high up on the Downs, and the famously stylish dress code that makes Glorious Goodwood unquestionably the chicest invitation of the summer's social and racing calendar.
Charlton Hunt Restaurant
A glass-fronted, course facing restaurant on the first floor of the Charlton Stand, popular for small groups of 2, 4, 6, 10 or 12. Its balcony offers head-on views of the racing and the horse walk below. A tipster will run through the race card at lunchtime.
Horseshoe Restaurant
The Horseshoe Restaurant have a garden party atmosphere. Located beyond the winning post near the Richmond Lawn, the restaurant offer flexible accommodation ideal for groups of 24 people or multiples thereof. The restaurant enjoys a similar outlook and can cater for parties of 2, 4, 10 and 12.
Double Trigger Club
A wonderful base for your day at the races. With its own private terrace for drinks, the club is a short stroll away from the excitement of the Parade Ring, putting you right in the centre of the action - a must for the racing enthusiast. For parties of up to 10 guests.
